A very warm welcome to the website for Heather Primary School. We’re so proud of our children, our staff and our school, and of everything we achieve together.
We hope that you will find lots of the information you might need about our school within the pages of this site. If you can’t find what you need, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to help you straight away. If you scroll through this page, you’ll find out lots of information about how people who are already in our school community see the school.
Meanwhile, you can download the Heather Primary School Prospectus 2017 here and view some of your child’s learning activities in the ‘About Our Classes’ section or in the Photo Galleries. If a paper copy of any information on our website is required, let us know and we’ll get this to you as soon as we can.
If you have any queries, comments or concerns, you can get in touch with us using the ‘Contact Us’ section of the website. Better still, come in and chat with us in school.
We really hope you enjoy using our website!

We’ve been delighted with our feedback from children and parents over the last two years.
For example, in our parents evening parents’ survey in October 2016…
A fantastic 100% of the parents who completed the questionnaire agreed or strongly agreed that:
- their child is happy at Heather;
- their child feels safe here;
- their child is making good progress here;
- their child is well looked after at Heather;
- their child is taught well by their usual class teacher/teachers;
- the school is well led and managed
- the school responds well to any concerns
- the school diary works well as a communication tool with class teachers
- the weekly newsletter does a good job of informing parents about what has been/is happening in school
- they would recommend Heather Primary School to another parent.
The overwhelming majority of parents also agreed or strongly agreed that the school ensures that children are well-behaved and that we deal effectively with bullying.
This is the THIRD set of questionnaires from parents to have been so resoundingly positive – thank you very much to everyone who responded!
Every year, we ask our children to work together on a statement about the school from their perspective. They can say whatever they think – there’s no adult editing! The drop down menu at the top of this page gives you a chance to look at the children’s statements from the last three year. Highlights from this year’s statement include:
“Our school is full of joy”
“Our school feels safe, exciting and caring. If you are only just starting here, you can make new friends on the very first day, learn new things and make new friends. When you join our school it is like one big happy family.”
