These are our most recent results – for the children who were in Year 6 in the school year ending July 2017. Some of the data is still being published, so this page will be updated several times to reflect new information shared between now and the end of 2017.

Attainment at Key Stage 2

  • 80% of our Year 6 children reached or exceeded the expected standard in Reading – higher than the national average.
  • 66.7% reached or exceeded the expected standard in Writing
  • 93.3% reached or exceeded the expected standard in Maths – higher than the national average.
  • 60% of our children reached or exceeded the expected standard in Reading, Writing AND Maths combined.
  • 80% of our children reached or exceeded the expected standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS) – higher than the national average..
  • 80% reached or exceeded the expected standard in Science.

Average scaled scores

  • The average scaled score in Reading for these children was 106.6 – higher than the national average.
  • In Maths, it was 104.8 – again, higher than the national average.
  • For GPS, the average scaled score was 106.0 – equal to the national average.

Progress at Key Stage 2

  • From their Key Stage 1 assessments, this group of children made progress broadly in line with the national average in both Reading (-0.3) and Maths (-1.9).
  • Progress in writing was below the national average in Writing (-5.3), but showed improvement since last year and this was also above the national floor standard for progress.

Higher levels of attainment

  • 46.7% of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Reading – 22% higher than the national average.
  • 6.7% of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Writing.
  • 13.3% of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Maths.
  • 26.7& of the children achieved a high level of attainment in GPS.

These were our results for the children who were in Year 6 in the school year ending July 2016.

  • 58.8% of our Year 6 children reached or exceeded the expected standard in Reading.
  • 41.2% reached or exceeded the expected standard in Writing.
  • 52.9% reached or exceeded the expected standard in Maths.
  • 29.4% reached or exceeded the expected standard in all three combined - often referred to as 'RWM'.
Progress at Key Stage 2
  • From their Key Stage 1 assessments, this group of children made progress in line with the national average in both Reading (0.3) and Maths (-0.3).
  • Progress in writing was below the national average in Writing (-6.08), but above the national floor standard for progress.
Higher levels of attainment
  • 11.8% of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Reading.
  • None of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Writing.
  • 17.6% of the children achieved a high level of attainment in Maths.
Average scaled scores
  • The average scaled score in Reading for these children was 101.3
  • In Maths, too, it was 101.3.
